Thank You Lord for blue skies and a life of miracles….

dream

i dreamed my dreams

i saw miracles,

 the Lord is my help.

blessings

showers and rainbows

moving clouds and sunrises,

oh wonders from above.

believe

a heart that trusts

 even beneath a starless sky,

 He makes all things possible.

faith

chasing rainbows and butterflies

where art thou treasures of the heart,

i close my eyes and i see.

miracles

hues of blessings

in the far horizon,

a heart that hopes could see.

brand new shoes

i love shoes.  and i like wearing different styles.  many of my shoes are comfortable and durable, but others have given me blisters (ouch!) and some did not last long.

as i tidied up my shoes and other stuff during the Christmas holidays, i couldn’t help but look back on the many journeys i have travelled with my good old shoes.  

the worn-out ones speak of stories of my long walks through trial-ridden roads.  the ones that are still looking mint tell tales of treks on easy, smooth paths.

the new year holds uncertainties.  there will be unknown roads i will need to take and new tomorrows to face.  but i know that i just have to walk by faith and not by sight (2 corinthians 5:7).  i just have to believe and hope like abraham did (romans 4, hebrews 11).  because the Lord will see me through anything.  

and with God as my Travel Companion carrying me through my journeys, i know my shoes will always be as good as brand new! (yahooo! ü)

the other day, while resting on a bench along Brighton beach after a nice long walk,  i couldn’t help but be amazed at how spectacular the sunset was.  

the play of colours in the horizon was so beautiful!  i felt really happy ü.  

i love watching the sunset by the ocean...God’s creations are just so magnificent! i could feel His awesome presence every time…and it always reminds me how loved and blessed i am!

i’m truly blessed i could just see the sea and sunset each day without having to travel, drive or walk far.  living in a beachfront home definitely has its perks ü. 

getting my place though had not been an easy process…house-searching, comparing fees and making sure i would be able to afford it, inspecting the place if it’s good and liveable, putting in an application, waiting for the approval, dealing with the broker about issues before moving in, etc.  

after everything, i love where i live.  it’s quiet and breezy (though winters can really be so cold). i relish the soft chirping of the birds that greets me when i awake in the morning and serenades me throughout the day.  i rejoice in the experience of an ocean sunrise whenever i want to (i struggle getting up early though as i’m not a morning person haha) and the calm of the sunset any day ü.  

and i also love my walking exercises along the beach, the soothing sound of the waves and fresh sea breezes, and the relaxing massages of the sand and ocean water on my feet!  i’ve always dreamed of living by the sea and i’m really blessed and happy that it's a dream come true ü...  

who else but God has made all these happen!  

for with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)! 

Love Letters?

today, as i was going through my previous writings, i came across this reflection that i shared via a catholic community newsletter in the philippines many years ago (in 2009 to be exact).  i have forgotten about this piece but reading it again after so many years makes me smile ü. this was one of four and the last reflection yet that i have written in Tagalog in all my many years of writing…sooo makes me think, perhaps I could write another one again one of these days…and yes, share more about God's love <3 <3 <3.....

love letters

nakakatuwa at nakakakilig basahin ang mga love letters na naitago ko pa.  ang mga alay na pagibig, matatamis na salita at expression of affection na nakasulat sa mga ‘yon ay nakakapagpabalik ng ibat’ ibang masasayang alaala.

tulad ng mga love letters na ‘yan, nakakatuwa ding pagmasdan ang iba’t ibang bagay sa ating paligid na mukhang ordinaryo pero sa katunayan ay naghahayag ng pagibig ng Diyos sa atin.  mga bagay na nasa tabi lang natin at hindi natin madalas naa-appreciate pero espesyal pala at nagsisilbing love letters ni Lord para sa atin.

ang ating pamilya.  little everyday miracles sa ating buhay.  ang bukang-liwayway.  mga bituin sa langit.  rainbows.  smile from a stranger.  embrace ng isang kaibigan.  sunsets.  safe trip home everyday.  birthdays.  kindness mula sa isang officemate.  kotseng naida-drive.  food on the table.  good health.  mga bulaklak.  bahay na nauuwian.  blue skies.  hope in the midst of despair.  healing.  mga luntiang bundok.  answers to prayers.  tulong sa gitna ng problema…

marami.  ibat’ iba.  

araw-araw at kahit saan nariyan lang ang mga love letters ng Diyos para sa atin.  buksan natin, basahin at damhin.

wala nang hihigit pa sa alay Nyang pagibig at naguumapaw na wagas na mga pangako.
